Aston Villa's Joe Cole set for loan exit

League One side Coventry City have reportedly agreed on a loan deal for out-of-favour Aston Villa midfielder Joe Cole.

The 33-year-old has yet to take part for the Villains this season, and reports last month emerged that he could seek a temporary move to the Championship.

Coventry Telegraph now cites that the former England international has decided to drop to the third tier of English football in search of regular first-team action.

It is added that the Sky Blues will reveal the signing of Cole following their encounter against Blackpool tomorrow.
