Chelsea join Sadio Mane chase

Chelsea have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign Southampton star Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese international has been a revelation for the Saints following his switch from Red Bull Salzburg in 2014.

Recent speculation had claimed that Mane could be on his way to Old Trafford with United boss Louis van Gaal eager to add more pace to his attack front.

However, The Mirror suggests that the Blues have joined the player's pursuit, and are mulling over a winter bid for his services.

Saints boss Ronald Koeman will be hopeful of keeping hold of Mane by offering him a new long-term deal.
