Chelsea plot Jamie Vardy raid

Chelsea are ready to give their best to land Leicester City star Jamie Vardy in the winter transfer window.

The 29-year-old has amassed an impressive tally of 13 league goals this campaign, and this has propelled his side to the top of the Premier League.

In addition to this, his performances have been recognised by England boss Roy Hodgson and he is now a regular in the national setup.

According to The Mirror, Blues head coach Jose Mourinho is desperate to land a new centre-forward in the New Year having seen star striker Diego Costa struggle to get goals on a regular basis.

It is added that Foxes striker Vardy is one among the top targets for the club when the transfer window reopens in 2016.

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has recently insisted that the club will not entertain offers for their star man in January.
