No more players for Liverpool

Rafa Benitez has said that there will be no more players arriving at Liverpool this season. Benitez has hinted that Martin Skrtel will be the last player that the club sign in the January transfer window.

Benitez said on the club’s official website: "We are happy with the squad. We needed another centre-back but in the other positions we have enough players."

On Argentina international Mascherano, whose initial 18-month loan deal expires in the summer, Benitez added: "We will continue to keep working and we are confident he will stay with us."
