Sam Allardyce expects January signings

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has said that he will make at least two signings in the quest for Premier League survival during the second half of the campaign.
The 61-year-old head coach feels the Black Cats must be active in the New Year as they find themselves in the relegation heap, two points away from safety.
"I want the players here to be achieving more than they have been because that would make my job a lot easier in January," he told reporters.
"So if we bring in two players I think we will have done well. I got out on the road this week and went to try and sign some players."
Sunderland visit managerless Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
