Chelsea ready January bid for Jamie Vardy

Chelsea are ready to spend a major chunk of their transfer budget to land in-form Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The England international has been in top form for the Premier League toppers this season, and this is said to have caught the eye of several top European clubs.

London Evening Standard understands that the Blues hierarchy will seek to lure the talented striker to Stamford Bridge on a £30m deal in the New Year.

However, the Foxes are unlikely to accept any kind of offers for the 28-year-old as they aim to reach greater heights in what has been an excellent start to their campaign.

Vardy has scored 15 league goals for his club this term.
