Arsenal to sign Granit Xhaka?

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is understood to have earmarked Borussia Monchengladbach star Granit Xhaka as his top target for the winter transfer window.

Recent speculation has suggested that the Gunners could have a quiet transfer window with Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny being the only potential signing for the club.

However, The Star claims that the North London outfit are not done with their transfer business, and could come up with a £37m bid for highly-rated Swiss midfielder Xhaka.

The report adds that Arsene Wenger's side are also keen on landing Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Adrien Rabiot, who is said to be desperate for regular first-team action.

Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League with 42 points.
