Joel Campbell to earn new Arsenal contract
Costa Rican star Joel Campbell looks set to earn a new long-term deal at Arsenal, according to reports.
The 23-year-old was believed to be on his way out of the Emirates last summer, having struggled to earn a place in the Gunners first-team.
However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger opted to keep hold of his player with a view to offering him some playing time during the campaign.
Campbell has since then put up a great showing in the Premier League, and Wenger feels that the player is the Francis Coquelin for the 2015-16 season.
Reports now reveal that the North London outfit are eager to keep hold of the talented forward, and will offer him a long-term contract worth £60,000-a-week in wages.
Campbell's existing deal is due to expire in June 2016.
