Abdennour on Chelsea radar

Chelsea are seeking to secure the services of Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour before the transfer deadline.

The Tunisia international joined Los Che from AS Monaco last summer, with the view to earning a regular role in the first-team.

However, he has since then failed to adapt to the Spanish style of play, and currently finds himself warming the substitutes' bench.

The Times suggests that the Blues are eager to bring in some defensive cover, and consider the 26-year-old as the ideal target to fit the void.

Abdennour has earned 44 caps with his national side.
