Crystal Palace chasing John Terry?

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has hinted that he could make a shock move for Chelsea defender John Terry this summer. The centre back has been told that he will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The Chelsea club captain had been locked in talks with the Blues over a new contract extending in to the 2016-17 season but it appears Terry will be allowed to head for a new challenge once his contract expires.

Crystal Palace are a surprise transfer opportunity for Terry, with club manager Pardew telling the press: “I've bumped into John Terry on occasion and asked him many times to join me.

“He always sniggers at the suggestion. Of course I will ask one more time. I'm sure I'll bump into him again and ask the question.”
