Southampton bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?
Southampton have made a bid for their former player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The England international has struggled for regular first team football at Arsenal so far this season.
'The Ox' has found playing time hard to come by in recent weeks and Ronald Koeman, the Saints boss, has been in talks with Southampton club representatives regarding a potential loan move for the midfielder.
According to the Express, Oxlade-Chamberlain is disappointed that Arsene Wenger has favoured Costa Rican international Joel Campbell in recent weeks and the return of Danny Welbeck is likely to reduce Alex's playing time even further. The midfielder is concerned that a lack of first team football could cost him a place in England's Euro 2016 squad this summer.
