Man Utd prepare Cavani bid

Manchester United will reportedly step up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguay international has been forced to play in the wider areas at Les Parisiens with manager Laurent Blanc preferring Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the centre-forward role.

United have been long linked with a move for the talented marksman, and according to ItaSportPress, the Mancunian giants will lodge a summer bid for the 29-year-old on the instruction of Jose Mourinho.

Paris Saint-Germain are expected to accept offers in the range of £35m for the former Napoli man.

Cavani has scored 14 goals in 31 outings for Les Parisiens this term.
