Chelsea make Matuidi approach

Chelsea have reportedly made an enquiry over the availability of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi this summer.

The France international has been a consistent performer for the Ligue 1 champions since his move from Saint-Etienne in 2011.

Le 10 Sport understands that the Blues have stepped up their pursuit for the 28-year-old after Antonio Conte made the player his top transfer target for the summer transfer window.

It is added that Conte has agreed a deal in principle to join the Blues and the move will be made official after conclusion of his European commitments with Italy.

Matuidi has earned 41 caps with his national side.
