Atletico Madrid turn to Cavani
Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are reportedly readying a summer offer for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan international has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United in recent weeks following claims that he may leave Parc des Princes at the end of the season.
Cavani has often played in the wider areas with experienced striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic favoured for the centre-forward role.
Spanish source Marca now suggests that the 28-year-old is most likely to part ways with the French giants, even if he is offered the main role following Ibra's departure this summer.
The report adds that Atletico Madrid have turned their interest to Cavani after fellow South American Jackson Martinez opted to join Chinese Super League side Guanzhou Evergrande last month.
Les Parisiens are understood to be open to the striker's sale provided any club match their £35m valuation.
Cavani has scored 12 league goals for the Ligue 1 holders this campaign.
