Arsenal consider Mourinho move

Arsenal could look at the opportunity of appointing Jose Mourinho as their next manager, should his proposed switch to Manchester United fail to materialise.

The Portuguese head coach has been strongly linked with the United job since his dismissal from Chelsea last December.

Spanish source Fichajes claims that the Gunners hierarchy are seemingly tired by the lack of progress under Wenger, and may look for a change at the end of the season.

It is also said that the club are mulling over a move for Mourinho, who has been rumoured to have sealed a pre-contract agreement with arch-rivals United.

Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League, 11 points adrift of league leaders Leicester City.
