Chelsea interested in Hummels

Chelsea are preparing a summer offer for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels, The Mirror reports.

The German international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League over the past year with the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal said to be vying for his services.

However, according to The Mirror, the Blues are looking into a deal for the World Cup winner, who has revealed his desire to ply his trade in the Premier League.

The Blues are desperate to land a new central defender in the summer following a long-term injury to Kurt Zouma.

Hummels' current deal at BVB is due to expire in the summer of 2017.
