Real Madrid agree De Gea deal?

De Gea could join Real this summer- Calderon

Real Madrid may have sealed a summer deal for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, former president Ramon Calderon reveals.

The Spain international came close to joining Los Blancos last summer before late paperwork ensured that the move could not be processed ahead of the deadline.

Since then, De Gea has gone on to sign a new long-term contract at Old Trafford, whilst Real have utilised the services of Keylor Navas for the number one role.

Calderon now reveals that the Bernabeu giants may have stuck a personal agreement with the player and a move could through at the end of the current campaign.

"It would be really strange if David de Gea came but no doubt he is one of the best and also he's a Spaniard, which helps," he told talkSPORT.

"Apparently there is some agreement. They had a deal from last [summer] for him to come but I can't tell you [for sure] as I don't have personal knowledge of that."

De Gea has been one of the stand-out performers for United in recent seasons.
