Bayern to monitor Eric Dier

German giants Bayern Munich are expected to closely monitor the progress of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old joined the North London giants following a fruitful spell with Sporting Lisbon in 2014.

Dier followed up to play a versatile role in the Spurs setup with manager Mauricio Pochettino still adapting to the player's style of play.

However, he has developed into a top performer this season, and he is not regarded as one of the best midfield enforcers in the English league.

London Evening Standard suggests that Bayern will keep a close eye on Dier in the coming weeks ahead of a potential move for his services in the summer.

It will be interesting to see whether Spurs would accept any kind of fee given their excellent progress in the Premier League this term.

The England international joined Spurs from Sporting Lisbon for £4m.
