Benteke on Leicester radar

Premier League champions Leicester City could start off their summer spending spree with a move for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian international has had a tough time at Anfield with manager Jurgen Klopp reluctant to offer him a starting role.

The 25-year-old joined the Reds from Aston Villa last summer and many felt he could be the player to take the club forward.

However, he has struggled to adapt to the club's style of play and currently finds himself featuring on a regular basis from the substitutes' bench.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Foxes are eager to bring in a new centre-forward as they seek to offer a strong challenge to their title defence next season.

It is added that Benteke is among the top names on the shortlist for a club, who aim to spend big in the summer transfer window.

Benteke is currently valued at around £25m.
