Chelsea receive Mkhitaryan boost

Chelsea have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Henrikh Mkhitaryan after he stalled over a contract extension at Borussia Dortmund. League rivals Arsenal are also monitoring the player's situation.

Mkhitaryan, 27, is said to be eager to make a move to the Premier League with the English capital being his preferred destination.

The Mirror says the Blues have moved a step closer to the Armenian attacker following his refusal to pen a new deal at BVB.

However, the West Londoners will not have an easy route to the player with London rivals Arsenal also keeping tabs on the developments.

The Armenian international has had a great campaign with BVB this term netting 19 goals and 24 assists in all competitions.
