Three free transfers that could be Premiership bound

Here we look at the potential destinations for three players who currently ply their trade abroad but could end up in the Premier League by the end of the summer...

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris St-Germain)

The Malmo born striker appears to be destined for the Premier League as he runs down the last few weeks of his PSG deal, his mostly likely destination would be Manchester, the red half though as Zlatan is rumoured to have a sour relationship with the incoming Pep from their time at Barca.

However don’t discount West Ham United who would love to start their first season at the Olympic Stadium with a massive name like the Swedish national team record goal scorer in their squad and could move to make him their highest ever earner, lack of Champions League football could be a stumbling block though as he may want one last crack at winning the trophy that has eluded him.

London rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have been mentioned but you can’t see Pochettino wanting to disrupt his settled and progressive young squad with the volatile Swede and Wenger may have not forgotten the snubbed offer of a trial involving the then 17 year old Malmo striker early in his Arsenal career.

Gregory Kurtley van der Wiel (Paris St-Germain)

The 28 year old has not been offered a new deal by the French Champions and this has got at least three Premiership clubs interested. Chelsea under new boss Conte will be looking to rebuild after a dismal season and a club in the capital could be attractive for the Dutch international.

Both Manchester United and City could be interested in Van Der Wiel and the chance to work with the well-respected (in Holland at least) Louis Van Gaal and a chance to be the number one right back at United could tempt him.

That said with it looking more likely that City will secure the last Champions League spot and the chance to work with the extremely well respected Pep Guardiola could make the Etihad stadium the most likely destination.

Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia)

The Algerian international is certainly a player in high demand, his agent has claimed to have offers from all over Europe and massive offers from China in his hand.

Valencia not qualifying for Europe next season will mean the Levallois-Perret born Feghouli won’t extend his contract and with Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United all in the race, the Premier League could be his next destination.

Liverpool with a potential Champions league place (if they win the Europa League) that could turn his head to the Anfield club, Spurs already in Europe’s top club competition will be their biggest challengers for his signature.
