Arsenal eager to sign Xhaka before Euro 2016
Arsenal are looking to get a deal done for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka ahead of this summer's European championships. The Swiss international has already iterated his desire to leave Gladbach at the end of the season.
The Gunners are known to have finalized terms with the player and it is only left for them to negotiate a price for the transfer.
Sources now reveal that the North London giants will look to wrap up a £33.8m deal for Xhaka in the coming days, with the player keen on resolving his future ahead of the Euros.
"The season's over now and there might be discussions tomorrow regarding the matter, we will make it together," Xhaka told reporters. "The decision will definitely be before the European Championship."
Manager Arsene Wenger has earlier stated that the club will look to bring in at least three players before the start of 2016/17 campaign.
