Arsenal plot record bid for Serie A striker
Arsenal are known to be preparing a club-record £51m offer to sign Juventus' Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. The 23-year-old has been linked with a potential move away from the Old Lady this summer.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport says the Gunners are hopeful of pursuing a deal for Morata with manager Arsene Wenger eager to bring in add a new striker to his ranks ahead of the next campaign.
Former club Real Madrid currently have a buy-back clause for the player, and their final decision could decide on whether the Gunners manage to land their top target.
Morata netted 11 goals and ten assists for the Old Lady during the 2015/16 season.
