Arsenal to end Xhaka interest?

Arsenal could switch their attention from Granit Xhaka with Borussia Monchengladbach reluctant to come down from their £35m asking price.

The Swiss international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League with the Gunners deemed favourites to secure his services.

However, Arsene Wenger side's are unwilling to pay more than £19m and this has brought a stand still to the negotiations, The Mirror reports.

The news could well ignite interest from league rivals Manchester City, who are also keeping tabs on the former Basel graduate.

Xhaka is expected to finalize his next move ahead of this summer's European championships in France.
