Mourinho eyeing shock raid for Arsenal defender
Incoming Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho could start off his transfer business with a surprise bid for Arsenal's French defender Laurent Koscielny.
Koscielny, 30, has developed into a top professional in his time at the Emirates, and he is now a regular with the France national side.
According to French publication Le 10 Sport, the 'Special One' has already made up his shortlist for the summer with Arsenal's Koscielny and Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante leading the list.
The Portuguese head coach is said to consider the Gunners' centre-back as the perfect fit for Chris Smalling given his valuable experience in the top flight.
On the other hand, the 53-year-old feels Kante could add the much-needed zest to United's spine ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
Mourinho is likely to have a £200m kitty to spend on fresh recruits during this summer's transfer window.
