Juventus beat Chelsea to Miralem Pjanic
Juventus have won the race to sign Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic after the player signalled his intent to join the Serie A champions. The Bosnian has come to the decision despite having initial doubts over moving to a direct league rival.
Antonio Conte's Chelsea were early reported to be favourites after they offered a three-year deal worth £65,000-a-week.
However, things have changed since then with Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni confirming that the Bosnian has written a letter expressing his desire to link up with the Old Lady.
Max Allegri's side have already activated the player's £30m release clause and the deal is likely to be confirmed once the necessary formalities are done with.
Pjanic joined the Giallorossi from French side Lyon in 2011.
