Besiktas to pursue Mathieu Debuchy loan

Besiktas are looking to secure a temporary deal for Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy. The Frenchman is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates.
Debuchy spent the second half of last season on loan with Bordeaux after he fell below the likes of Hector Bellerin and Calum Chambers in the pecking order for the right-back role.
According to Turkish source Sabah, Şenol Güneş' side are interested in a second-long loan for the full-back with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
The move could come as a blessing of disguise for Debuchy, who has struggled to live up to his expectations in recent seasons.
The 30-year-old has appeared in just 12 league games for the Gunners since his switch from Newcastle United in 2014.
