Barcelona target Ramiro Funes Mori

Everton centre-back Ramiro Funes Mori has caught the radar of Spanish champions Barcelona, The Liverpool Echo reports. The Argentina international was a regular in the Toffees setup last season.

The 25-year-old linked up with the Toffees from River Plate last summer, and played a key role alongside John Stones in the central defensive partnership.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Funes Mori was a player being closely watched during a scouting regime held by the Catalan giants last term.

John Stones had been the initial focus of attention for the scouts before the Argentine captured their eye through his impressive showing at the back.

Funes Mori will feature for his national side as they take on hosts United States in the Copa America Centenario semi-final later tonight.
