Liverpool join Andros Townsend pursuit

Liverpool have joined the likes of West Bromwich Albion and Crystal Palace in the race to sign Andros Townsend. The England international is on the look out for top flight football after Newcastle United were relegated to the Championship.
The 24-year-old put up an impressive showing following his move from Tottenham Hotspur in January, but this was not enough to help his side avoid the drop from the Premier League.
A report from The Mirror says the Reds could come up with a formal bid for the England international with Jurgen Klopp marking the player as one among his top targets for the summer transfer window.
League rivals Manchester City are also in the running for the hard-working winger, who has a £10.5m buy-out clause in his contract.
Townsend was a part of Roy Hodgson's provisional squad for the European championships, but he failed to make the final cut.
