Romelu Lukaku content at Everton
Belgian international Romelu Lukaku could stay put at Everton for the summer despite initially stating his ambitions to leave Goodison Park. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
Lukaku has strongly iterated his willingness to find a fresh challenge with Champions League football being his minimal expectation next season.
However, according to The Mirror, the player seems to have made a U-turn, and has decided to commit his future to the Merseyside outfit.
The report adds that Lukaku is convinced with the abilities of coach Ronald Koeman, and feels he is the right man to take the club forward under the Farhad Moshiri era.
Meanwhile, the Toffees still have a battle in their hands to keep hold of John Stones, who is desperate for a switch to Manchester City in the current transfer window.
Everton are likely to table a five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week for the former Chelsea man.
