Pogba tells friends he wants Man Utd move

Paul Pogba news

Pogba has reportedly told friends he wants to go back to Old Trafford

In what is shaping up to be the transfer saga of this summer -- or perhaps any summer considering the potentially world record breaking transfer fee -- the Paul Pogba to Manchester United rumours have developed further this morning.

Reports in France suggest that the 23-year-old Juventus midfielder has confided in friends that it is his wish to rejoin United during the transfer window.

L'equipe are reporting that the player has spoke with some close friends and family, confirming his desire to return to Old Trafford.

L'equipe also claim that United's executive vice chairman, Ed Woodward, met with Pogba's agent Mino Raiola yesterday to hold further discussion about the move.

It is now believed that the Red Devils will lodge a bid of €120 million for the France international on Monday, with Raiola himself presenting the offer to Juventus.

That figure would smash the world record for the highest transfer fee ever paid, currently held by Real Madrid's capture of Gareth Bale in 2013.

United have already been very active in the transfer market, having tied up deals for Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

And during José Mourinho's first press conference as United manager on Tuesday, he confirmed that the club are working on a fourth major signing, which is believed to be Pogba.

Pogba was impressive in last night's Euro 2016 semi-final, in which France defeated Germany 2-0. The home nation will now take on Portugal in Sunday's final.
