Juventus confirm Alexis Sanchez approach
Juventus have failed in their bid to land Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, club chief Giuseppe Marotta confirms. The Chilean joined the Gunners from Barcelona in the summer of 2014.
The Old Lady had tabled a £26m offer for Sanchez over the past week with manager Max Allegri looking to find a suitable replacement for the recently departed Alvaro Morata.
However, they were clearly snubbed in their pursuit with the Gunners deeming their player 'non-transferable' in the near future.
"Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal told us they have no intention of selling," Marotta was quoted as saying on El Mercurio. "Arsenal said that the Chilean attacker is non-transferable and that he is not on the market."
The 27-year-old managed to net 17 goals in all competitions for the Gunners last term despite a hamstring affecting his progress.
