Arsenal given Alexandre Lacazette asking price
Arsenal will have to pay up big if they are to land Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette. The Frenchman is the Gunners' top target for the summer transfer window.
Lacazette had been subject of interest from several Premier League clubs last year before he opted to pen a long-term deal with the Ligue 1 outfit. Since then, he has kept up his form in the French league thus leading to suggestions that he could seek a bigger challenge in the future.
The likes of West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur have made enquiries over the player's availability this summer, but it is the Gunners who are the preferred destination for the 25-year-old.
According to The Mail, Arsene Wenger's side are for now reluctant to match Lyon's asking price, which currently stands at £42m.
The French giants will not sell for anything less given they have already shipped Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona for £21m.
Lacazette notched 23 goals in 44 outings for Les Gones last term.
