Arsene Wenger convinced of Riyad Mahrez signing
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is convinced that Riyad Mahrez would be the right signing for the club in this summer's transfer window. Leicester City value their player at £45m.
The Algerian had his breakthrough season for the Foxes last term as he netted 17 goals and 11 assists on their way to a historic and maiden league title.
Since then, the 25-year-old has been linked with a whole host of clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
According to The Star, Wenger is confident that Mahrez would be upgrade to the club's wing play which has seen the likes of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain struggle over the past year.
Walcott has been below-par for the Gunners in recent seasons, whilst Oxlade-Chamberlain has failed to live up to his early career hype.
Meanwhile, Costa Rican attacker Joel Campbell is yet to resolve his future at the North London outfit.
Mahrez was voted as the PFA Player of the Year last season as he guided his side to an improbable league triumph.
