West Ham United close to Andre Ayew signing

West Ham United are close to announcing the arrival of Swansea City forward Andre Ayew. The 26-year-old notched 12 league goals for the Welsh outfit last season.

The Ghana international joined the Swans from Marseille on a Bosman last summer, and played a key role in their quest to attain Premier League safety.

Slaven Bilic's side have in talks with the player's representatives over the past week, and according to The Sun, a £16m deal could be finalized in the transfer window.

The Hammers have been unlucky in their search for a new centre-forward with the likes of Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette having snubbed moves to East London.
