Pogba tells fan he's staying at Juventus

Paul Pogba news

Could Pogba be set to stay at juve?

Paul Pogba is thought to be on the verge of completing a record breaking switch to Manchester United, however, while on holiday in New York, the player told a fan that he intends to stay with Juventus next season.

There is a video of the incident circulating on social media. A Juventus fan asks Pogba to sign a football for him, while Pogba is signing, the fan asks if he will be staying at Juve, to which Pogba replied: "Yes, yeah."

During his holiday in the USA, Pogba has also been spotted signing Manchester United shirts for fans, so perhaps there is not too much that can be read into what he told the Juventus supporter.

It is thought that United and Juventus have agreed a €110 million (£92 million) fee for the French midfielder.

That fee would eclipse the current world record transfer which was set by Gareth Bale's £85.6 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Real Madrid in 2013.

Pogba previously played for United but left the club as a teenager in 2012, having grown frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities he was being afforded by Sir Alex Ferguson.

Pogba joined Juventus and immediately became a key player for the Bianconeri, winning four consecutive Serie A titles as well as reaching the Champions League final in 2015, before losing 3-1 to FC Barcelona.
