Gabriel Jesus set to sign for City within 24 hours

Manchester City are set to complete the signing of 19-year-old Brazilian sensation Gabriel Jesus, and could even announce the deal within 24 hours, according to reports.

Sky Sports is reporting that City will seal the capture of Gabriel Jesus and confirm the youngster's transfer within 24 hours.

The teenager has scored 19 goals in 30 appearances this season and has drawn the interest of several of Europe's biggest clubs, including the likes of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Gabriel is regarded as arguably the most gifted player to emerge from Brazil since Neymar, and City are hoping he will have a similar impact in Europe as the brilliant Barcelona forward.

Some reports in Brazil are claiming that Gabriel will be loaned to Deportivo La Coruna for the coming season, whereas other reports suggest that he will remain with Palmeiras until January, before joining up with Pep Guardiola's City squad.

City have already been very busy in the transfer market this summer, having sealed the signings of playmaker Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund, winger Nolito from Celta de Vigo, teenage midfielder Alexandr Zinchenko from FC Ufa and 20-year-old winger Leroy Sané from Schalke 04.

Guardiola is also thought to be very keen on signing John Stones from Everton. The Manchester club have tabled a £40 million offer for the 22-year-old defender, but the Toffees are holding out for £50 million.
