Arsenal eye move for Marcel Tisserand
Arsenal have made an inquiry for Congolese defender Marcel Tisserand as their hopeless search for defensive reinforcements continues. The Monaco defender is valued at around 6.5 million euros.
23-year-old defender Tisserand has instructed his agent to help push through a transfer to England before the end of the transfer window on the last day of August and it is understood that Arsenal are the player's preferred option.
Tisserand spent the last two seasons on loan at fellow Ligue 1 side Toulouse and Monaco are ready to cash in on their young defensive asset.
Arsene Wenger is actively seeking a replacement for Brazilian defender Gabriel and German World Cup winner Per Mertesacker; both of whom are currently on the sidelines through injury.
