Liverpool bid for Gremios Luan?

Reds table Luan offer

Liverpool have tabled a tempting offer for Gremio forward Luan Vieira. The 23-year-old was impressive for Brazil at the Olympic games as they won their first ever gold medal.

Brazilian radio station Futebol da Gaucha claims that the Reds have lodged a £30m offer for Luan after manager Jurgen Klopp highlighted his intention to recruit a new striker.

Roberto Firmino is currently the Reds' first-choice marksman with Divock Origi acting as his back-up, but the need for more creativity has urged the Reds to make an approach for the Brazilian.

England international Daniel Sturridge has yet to mark his presence this season, and it is thought that the arrival of a new frontman may well end his association with the Merseyside giants.

Luan, who has been with Gremio since 2014, was in fine form for his nation at the Rio Olympics, and this seems to have captured the Reds' interest. The Brazil under-23 international has netted 25 goals in 105 outings for Gremio till date.
