Daniel Sturridge was offered to Arsenal on deadline day
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge was offered to Arsenal on transfer deadline day. The player's representatives had proposed a season-long loan for the England international.
The 26-year-old is currently on the fringes of the first-team under Jurgen Klopp and has made a solitary league start this season, that too being in a disappointing 2-0 loss to Burnley at Turf Moor.
According to various sources, the Gunners were given an opportunity to sign Sturridge on a temporary basis, but manager Arsene Wenger was reluctant to take the gamble on the injury-stricken forward.
The former Chelsea man has had numerous injuries over the past few seasons, and this has sort of lowered his value at the Merseyside outfit.
Despite earning limited playing time last term, Sturridge managed to net 13 goals in 25 games in all competitions.
