Man Utd target Fabinho pens new Monaco contract
Fabinho has put an end to speculation over his future by penning a fresh five-year contract with AS Monaco. The Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho had the player high on the shortlist over the summer as he sought to bring in a specialist right-back before the transfer deadline.
But, the Principality outfit never received an offer from the Red Devils, and this was due to the fact that the club could not offload the likes of Matteo Darmian and Marcus Rojo to recoup the necessary funds.
It is now official that the full-back has inked a contract extension to keep him at Stade Louis II until 2021, and this will surely end United's pursuit for his services.
Fabinho has appeared in over 125 games for Monaco till date.
