Liverpool to bid for Mahmoud Dahoud
Liverpool will lodge a £25m bid to land Syrian-born footballer Mahmoud Dahoud this winter. Manchester City and Juventus are also interested in the playmaker.
The 20-year-old is believed to have rebuffed a fresh contract at Monchengladbach, and signs are the German side will cash in on his services in January, given his £8.5m release clause becomes active at the end of the campaign.
The Express reports that the Reds are closely monitoring the player's performances, and will step up their interest once the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
Meanwhile, City boss Pep Guardiola is said to be eyeing a triple deal from Monchengladbach with Thorgan Hazard, Mahmoud Dahoud and Andreas Christensen (on loan from Chelsea) being his prime targets, and this will only make it tougher for the Reds to land the German Under-21 international.
Serie A giants Juventus are also holding a firm interest in Dahoud, who has been tipped to reach great heights for club and country.
