Man Utd prepare shock raid for Danny Drinkwater
Manchester United could splash the cash to sign Leicester City star Danny Drinkwater in the January transfer window. The England international committed his future to the Foxes over the summer amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Drinkwater played a key role in the Foxes' maiden Premier League triumph last season, and this had captured attention from Spurs.
However, the player showed his ambition to progress at the King Power Stadium by penning an extension to keep him at the club until the summer of 2021.
According to The Sun, United will look to test the Foxes' resolve in the New Year with a £30m bid set to be made.
The 26-year-old graduated through the ranks at Old Trafford before he struggled to break into the first-team and this urged him to pursue a permanent move to East Midlands in the summer of 2012.
Drinkwater has notched over 180 appearances for the English champions in all competitions till date.
