Inter Milan to discuss Matteo Darmian price

Inter Milan will enquire over the possibility of signing Manchester United outcast Matteo Darmian in the coming months. The Italy international is deemed to surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho.

The 26-year-old has yet to feature in the Premier League this season with his only appearance coming in the Europa League loss against Feyenoord.

Italian publication Tuttosport suggest that the Nerazzurri are in for a right-sided defender in the New Year, and Darmian joins Zenit St Petersburg's Domenico Criscito in the list.

Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio is expected to hold initial discussions with the Mancunian giants in order to get a clear view on how much the player would cost in the winter transfer window.

Darmian saw himself reach a new low at Old Trafford after Mourinho left on the bench for the EFL Cup victory at Northampton Town last night.
