Juan Mata prepared to extend Man Utd stay
Spain international Juan Mata has apparently held discussions with manager Jose Mourinho as he bids to commit his future to Manchester United. The Spain international has two years left on his existing deal.
The 28-year-old proved that he has the goods to perform under the 'Special One' after he put up an excellent showing against Leicester City, bagging a goal and assist in a 4-1 win at Old Trafford.
The Sun reports that the ex-Chelsea midfielder will look to ink terms over a long-term deal at Old Trafford as he remains a key player under the new management.
Mata seems to have solved his differences with Mourinho, who had previously sold him from Stamford Bridge for his poor work rate on the field.
The attacker has amassed 111 appearances for the Mancunian giants since arriving from Chelsea in January 2014.
