Everton join Nicklas Sule chase

Everton have joined the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the pursuit of Hoffenheim centre-half Niklas Sule. The 21-year-old had impressed for Germany at the Olympic games where they came runners-up to Brazil in the finals.

German daily Bild suggests that the Toffees are weighing up a bid for central defender with Ronald Koeman looking to reinforce his backline further in the New Year.

The Toffees have made a more than decent start to the league campaign, and Koeman wants his side to maintain momentum after the turn of the year, if they are to attain a European qualification spot.

London trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are set to offer stiff competition whilst Atletico Madrid have also been credited with interest for the promising defender.

Sule earned his solitary cap with Germany prior to the European championships in France in the summer.
