Lyon's Tolisso dreams of Arsenal move
Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso has admitted that it is his dream to play for Arsenal, according to reports.
The mirror is reporting that 22-year-old Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso has underlined his desire to someday play in the Premier League by claiming that it is his dream to represent Arsenal.
The French midfielder is a key player for the League 1 side, and has been a regular feature of their starting XI since making his debut three years ago.
He is thought to have attracted interest from many of Europe’s top clubs, with Real Madrid and Barcelona and several Premier League teams said to be monitoring his progress ahead of a potential bid.
But the France under 21 international has been quoted admitting that his preferred choice of a future destination would be to join Arsenal, and that he feels his style is well suited to the Premier League.
Tolisso is capable of playing as either a number 10, or deeper in midfield on a box-to-box role. And at just under 6 foot tall, he has the requisite physicality to thrive in the English top flight.
Arsenal were linked with a summer move for one of Tolisso’s Lyon team mates, Alexandre Lacazette. Arsene Wenger’s men apparently lodged a bid for the France international striker, but Lyon refused to sell, feeling that the Gunners were some way short of matching their valuation of the player.
