Javier Mascherano not keen on China switch
Javier Mascherano has no thoughts of joining the Chinese Super League despite dropping down the pecking order at Barcelona.
The Argentina international was strongly tipped to join Juventus over the summer before he inked a fresh three-year contract at Camp Nou.
Recent speculation had suggested that the 32-year-old could consider a lucrative move to the Far East, but according to Sport, Mascherano has indicated his representative Walter Tamer to turn down any approaches.
The former Liverpool man has seen his place come under threat this term with Samuel Umtiti and Jeremy Mathieu being favoured ahead of him for a centre-back role.
Mascherano has racked over 275 appearances for the Catalan giants since arriving from the Premier League back in 2010. He has lifted the Champions League twice in his time with Barcelona.
