Napoli want Drogba loan
Napoli are interested in pursuing Didier Drogba on a temporary contract in the January transfer window. The Ivorian footballer is currently plying his trade for MLS side Montreal Impact.
Calciomercato says the Naples outfit have identified Drogba as a possible solution upfront after summer recruit Arkadiusz Milik sustained a nasty knee injury on international duty, which has ruled out him for the best part of five months.
Former England international David Beckham joined AC Milan in an unique timeshare deal between 2009 and 2010, and a similar agreement is likely to be proposed for the Chelsea legend.
Despite being in the final stages of his career, Drogba has been a regular in the scoresheet netting 21 times in 28 outings for his current side.
He is well known for his stint at Chelsea between 2004 and 2012 where he won the Champions League. On his second coming at Stamford Bridge in 2014, he managed to notch 28 appearances as the Blues lifted the Premier League crown for the fifth time.
