Liverpool rule out Coutinho sale
Liverpool have issued a hands-off warning to Paris Saint-Germain over midfielder Philippe Coutinho. The Brazil international has been long linked with a move to Parc des Princes.
Coutinho, 24, was undoubtedly the stand-out performer for the Reds last term in what was an average campaign by their standards.
He has followed to replicate a similar showing this term and his displays have kept the Reds within leaders Manchester City in the opening seven games.
Recent speculation suggested Les Parisiens could return for Coutinho in the New Year having failed to get breakthrough with his representative last summer.
However, the Reds are in no condition to accept the sale of their asset, and will start off talks over an improved contract in the coming weeks.
Spanish champions Barcelona have also been credited with interest for the playmaker, who has appeared in over 150 outings for Liverpool till date.
